Paris Saint-Germain head coach Unai Emery believes the rise of Monaco is good for French football.

Reported Chelsea and Manchester United target Bernardo Silva has urged his Monaco teammates to resist the temptation to leave this summer as he believes the club are on the verge of "something special."

Silva, 22, is expected to feature for Monaco in Wednesday's rearranged Ligue 1 game at home to Saint-Etienne, with the hosts needing just a point to secure their first French top-flight title since 2000.

The Portugal international, who joined Monaco from Benfica for more than €15 million in January 2015, has been linked with a move to England, and has previously stated his dream of featuring in either the Premier League or La Liga.

He is not the only member of Leonardo Jardim's squad reportedly coveted by some of Europe's biggest clubs, with fellow midfielders Tiemoue Bakayoko and Fabinho, and rising star forward Kylian Mbappe among those linked with a summer move.

Bernardo Silva has been linked with a move away from Monaco this summer.

Silva, however, hopes his teammates will stay at the Stade Louis II to ensure Monaco, who reached this season's Champions League semifinals, perform even better next term.

"If everyone stays, we can do something special," he told reporters. "Here, you play in the Champions League and to win trophies. It's the very highest level. All the players are happy and want to continue. The team is young and wants to win trophies."

Silva has three years left on the five-and-a-half-year deal he penned when he moved to Monaco, and he is enjoying life on the Mediterranean coast.

"I'm very good here," he said. "You never know what can happen, but I'm ending my third season with -- I hope -- a trophy.

"We were in the Champions League quarterfinal in the first season, in the semifinal this season. When you win, it's easier to have a good atmosphere. But since the start, things have gone well on and off the pitch. It's a pleasure to play at Monaco."
